Why Parents Choose Live Tutoring

An average American classroom has approximately 23 students. Yet, this number can be higher in more densely populated areas. Since all learners are unique, some will be able to learn quicker than the average while others will need more time to process information.

Learning at a rate that is too fast or too slow can frustrate even the brightest kid in class. Our private tutoring provides skilled tutors who can assess students’ learning needs and set the pace necessary to achieve the desired results. We help students become more confident about their knowledge of the subject.

We tailor the learning environment to meet the student’s needs and find ways to make the subject matter relevant and applicable.

As a result, our students learn faster and receive a big boost in confidence.

Group or 1:1 Tutoring

1:1 Sessions

These cover the Selective Enrollment Entrance Exam - HS and the NWEA MAP Test Prep 6th-8th Grades. Both forms include eight (8) one-hour private virtual tutoring sessions to prepare your scholar for the exams. Tutors give students their full attention and motivate students so they can fully focus on the study material. Practice tests and materials are included. Additional sessions can be purchased as needed.

Group Sessions

We offer two virtual summer camps.

Readopolis Virtual Summer Camp

This is a 2 week session of Readopolis Camp. Our campers have fun meeting new friends while they avoid summer learning loss. Campers practice skills in all levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy Critical Thinking Model. They will learn how to remember, understand, apply, analyze, evaluate, and create new, original works based on what they read. They will engage in a variety of stories, learn how to identify the protagonist, the antagonist, and more.

A key focus will be on learning the English parts of speech including nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and adverbs.

These key skills help to improve their reading comprehension, English grammar, communication skills and writing skills. Additional camp sessions can be purchased as needed.

Mathopolis Virtual Summer Camp

This includes a 2-week session of virtual math camp. Campers practice skills in all levels of math from arithmetic to calculus. Additional camp sessions can be purchased as needed.

What Parents Ask Us

  • What grades are offered in tutoring?
  • We offer programs for learners in PreK through 12th grade.

  • What is the small class size?
  • We maintain small class sizes so students can have the best possible experience. Our membership sessions are capped at 8-12 students while other  classes may have up to 15  students. At times, we hold separate classes for each grade and age level to make sure students are working with their peers.

  • How do students interact socially?
  • Social interaction and collaboration are a key component of education. As remote learning has become more prevalent we’re able to cultivate communities that are based on shared interests rather than geography. As a result, our enthusiastic, expert teachers can gather students from across the world and spark curiosity, lead discussion, and help kids socialize within a remote learning environment that makes use of 21st century technology skills.

The use of technology like Zoom allows this facilitation to happen with ease and necessary supervision. Zoom is our officially supported remote instruction platform.

  • Who will teach the academic sessions?
  • Our programs draw on the talents of specialized experts and educators who can provide personalized instruction.

  • Will this program include homework assignments?
  • Most learning will take place during sessions.  Students are encouraged to do home assignments and DIY projects. Some projects are optional but highly encouraged to help your child stay on course and keep up with the lessons. Expect to spend about 20-30 minutes per day on the activities.
